Still at home waiting for my trainer to call me back. Apparently his truck started leaking air on his way down to pick me up. Now I guess he is in Appleton waiting to get his truck fixed. Hopefully everything gets resolved today.

Are you going to RDTC, or do you have your CDL? I am attending RDTC in Wisconsin on the 31st

getting alot of good info on here. only made it to page 21 so far but was wondering how roehl and millis compare. hoping to start in april and trying to get as much info and reseach done as possible. will be living in wisconsin 5 miles off I90 and spitting distance from I43. does roel get by this location very often?? also worked for a printing plant and roehl was our freighter for most of our products. thanks for any info or advice.

Yeah you'd be in a pretty easy area to get home you're on a major freight lane.

Yes with HQ in Marshfield, and other terminals scattered around WI and a major one in Gary IN there is a pretty good chance the occasional truck runs by your area.

was hopinig with my location could get by the house once in a while for a reset or at least a 10 for some home cooking and clean clothes, that way i would not need the hometime as much and might be able to use some of my hometime in other places doing some sightseeing.

is it true that most flatbed loads are early (daylight) loads? What other advantages are there flat vs van? I am thinking about going flat.

Yes it is, and we also rarely deliver on a weekend. This can be good or bad of course depending on how short a run is.

You do receive higher cpm but you lose more on duty time in securement. If you're interested if say go for it. I prefer flats myself.
