If you have a truck assigned to you it becomes layover pay I'm pretty sure, but if you're still getting that orientation rate then more power to ya.

AZS... not a bad run to the dakotas... know anything that we pull from those areas up there out? not sure how far they would deadhead us but I know IL is a haul to pick up something from those areas. I can't wait for the holidays.. not for the holiday.. just for the time off... i've been running myself so hard I think I hit a patch of burnout. i'm sending my email in tomorrow to request my holiday time off... 24-28... so i suspect i'll be off Dec 21-Jan 2... just a guess and not holding my breath tho. -
I've delivered up there once before, got a deadhead back to Kansas after that one. Buddy of mine who has been with the brand over 4 years has told me we sometimes load in Wyoming as well. You got a good one too, good miles. yeah gotta watch that burnout but usually a good week off we'll cure that I've found.
Mystikal Thanks this. -
Finally got a load. Not many miles, only went to Houston, but at least it got me out of Gainesville. Now I'm just hoping I got all of the paperwork done correctly.

Good to hear you are on the go. In San antonio wait for next load.

Anytime I'm in SA i've either picked up in Schertz and hauled steel... which is the usual case... or they've sent me to Pharr or Laredo for a load.... if i'm not planned out of San Marcos (only happened twice).
DJ... Did they load you out of Houston? Theres been few times i've actually picked up anything in or around Houston, surprisingly. Last week when I was there I hauled oversize steel out of Baytown to Schertz.. that load was a PAIN! Ended up waiting 6 hours before I was even called to head in for my load... and because I sat so long had to break on property and leave at first light. I hate steel mills.. as far as i'm concerned their no better than refrigerated warehouses (and I think alot of us have done our share of those before!) -
Got the run around today. The load I'm dispatched on came from Ryan Transportation and they had nothing right on the shipper info. Got sent to the wrong place then was late for the right place, so they wouldn't load me. Sitting at the yard right now. Will pickup at 7 and go straight to receiver in Eagle Pass tomorrow.

about 90 miles from the final in ND. Had to show my paperwork 4 times on this trip, twice in Wyoming. ugh.
