Im in the process of gathering pre hires before I attend my cdl training. Im on here reading about the different companies and I keep coming back to this werner part. I've read a ton of bad about werner but everybody has a different outlook on life so somebodies bad experience might not be bad to somebody else so I think ima go ahead and contact a recruiter and apply and see if I get a prehire. Before I contact them does anybody know any good recruiters or are they all just gonna tell me lies?

Werner is your dream? Go back sleep and try again, you screwed up somewhere. Tyson hires new drivers as does JBS carriers. So does Schnieder. All companies that are head & tails above Werner, better pay, more respect, better training. Hey when I first started, I was all over CR England. I kept on coming back to them. I went to Millis instead, probably the best thing I ever did was not go to England. Trust me on this.

Hell no werner ain't my dream lol I just keep coming back to there company on here to read about them. Truck driving is my dream. I was looking into millis they seem like the best to me. The only thing is my driving record ain't the best but its been 1 year and like 4 months since I been pulled over. Im hoping a company like werner will accept me. But no no no werner is not a dream just to clear that up lol I would rather work for them then not drive though.

Tyson is very strict with what school you went to. I live here in Springdale where they are HQ'd and spoke with them. They will only take guys who have gone to schools that meet certain hours requirements. The one here they recruit out of is a 5 weeks school.

They will take 6mo exp though...last I checked

I agree...I in no way implied that stricter requirements were a bad thing.I am just pointing out that if he wants Tyson he will have to be careful about what school he goes to. He can't go to Road Master or many other schools like them. he will need to go to a true vocational school or a Community College training program most of the time. There are some other schools that may make the cut for them like Diesel Driving Academy (Possible but need to cal to ask), Central Tech in Drumright, etc, etc

Most of recruiters are like guys trying to get laid they will sweet talk you until they get what they want... Not all of them

Put my app in for pre hire around 3pm today and they said its takes up to 24 hours for them to look over it and they give me response. Hope all goes well cause im really counting on this to help me get on track. Things keep going down hill and im hoping to hear a yes so i can start to see light at the end of tunnel cause as of now its pitch black and i cant see the road aheld. Keep your fingers crossed
