I just got a message on my qualcomm saying that Werner Enterprises is 2.9% away from being considered an unsafe trucking company, should I be concerned about my job?

No. Dont read to much into it

CSA is a joke, carriers know it, and DOT officers don't have a clue what any of it means.
mje Thanks this. -
They've been unsafe for years already..not to worry about CSA..
-
Just listen to the message and follow their instructions. Keep in mind any CSA points that you accrue will follow you. So do you part to not get warnings, citations, or OOS's and life will be good.

Only if you have an additional 3% negative effect on their existing rating.....
-
I got a csa ranking of 100, and 37 points on csa(werner drivers can see it at the drivers website driver.werner.com) schneider recruiter told me "if we made decisions based on csa almost nobody would be hireable'

They've been on E-logs forever, how can they be an unsafe trucking company ? Meltom !
mje Thanks this. -
Once upon a time they made a deal with the Devil, they got to become a revenue engine in exchange for their souls. For a long time all was good and the revenue came in. After 10 years they had to give up their souls!!! They revenue still comes in but there was a horrible price to pay and that would inattentiveness. I'm not of the mind to think that eLogs and safety are mutually inclusive. Before you start calling people out, know where they stand.DrtyDiesel and mje Thank this.

Well I'm not so sure guys, If the Company you work for has a crappy CSA Rating then that will make it hard for them to get good paying loads. That's the purpose of monitoring a companies safety issues, I worked last year for a flatbed company that was having issues in regard to getting good paying loads for their drivers and was told it was due to their safety rating being where it is. It's set up so the companies will not want to acquire so many drivers with a bad scores due to tickets or accidents, because their (the drivers) score is accumulative for the company as a base score. And if the company has to get cheaper loads then they'll have to start removing drivers because of their score in order to lower the company score. Which is supposed to equal all drivers with many tickets or accidents ect.. will not eventually be able to find a job, that's their plan anyway but if they do not have the new influx of drivers coming in as going out I don't see how it will work personally.
mje Thanks this.
