This week is my 5th week solo with Maverick. So far I have had 1 week with 2400 miles, 1 week with 1900 miles and this makes the 3rd week under 1500. I know they said it slows down in the winter, but I don't know how many more slow weeks I can handle. I have bills to pay along with Christmas and this isn't cutting it!

Won't be any different anywhere else...its just that time of the year.

The only thing you can do is plan ahead, put back some money during the year to help get you through the winter months...I know you haven't been here long enough to do that. You're just gonna have to suffer through the next couple of months then start fresh next year.

I generally stash about $5,000 through the year....thats to cover Christmas and 3-4 weeks without pay...it works for me anyway.

Got sent to Virginia this week, and for a PLD Division guy, that usually means a less than average week. Which... it did.
    5 Loads/Tarps and 1743 miles.

Plus KILLED MY MPG right before the cutoff.... P'O'd about that. :biggrin_25510:

I have been hearing from OTR Division guys(US & RAT) that I've come across recently that the mileage is way down and not much freight- even more so than in the slow months that we are now in. I've heard like 800-1000 mile weeks from a few.
Gee, I hope freight picks up to at least a NORMAL slow winter period level.
