Funny thing with these trucks, my check engine light came on last week and I was going to write it up tonight, but yesterday it went out? Good idea on the 5th. wheel Husker.
Happy Trails -
Headed to minnesota for monday morning, finally got moved back in the truck the other day, and hustled up to warners, then picked up this load, the docks for the place was right near the intersection of ny104(very infamous road for accidents, i grew up a couple miles south of that route not too far from niagara falls)and the street which the shipper was located. Just as i go to open my trailer doors i hear a loud bang and crashing noise...wtf?? Turns out a car pulled out in front of an suv, the suv clipped him, lost control, flipped 3 times, and took out several tractors at the dealership near the intersection...what a mess! A guy pulled into the lot, told everyone that was standing in the lot that was watching the aftermath that his mom was in the suv, his face was white as a ghost...anyways i get out of the shipper, go west on 104..and at the very next light, they are cleaning up another crash! I was never so glad to get off that road, i swear the skin on the back of my neck was crawling for awhile, i think the term "highway of death" fits that road perfectly.

I have been anti-social for awhile, sorry guys. Lots going on in my mind, some of if good, some of it bad. Been having a tough time balancing home life and work lately, but it'll all work out somehow.
Sitting on Ottawa waiting on a load to be ready. DDT is late tonight but may wait till after midnight to grab it. Its a four stop, with the first one 0400 Monday morning in Baltimore so I could run all day tomorrow and pull it off. Actually first three stops are in Baltimore area and then final is Tuesday morning in Virginia.
Was told that my miles were down and got the feeling they were implying that my home time was to blame. If they look at the loads I've been given lately, they'd see a pattern of somewhat short runs. However, this week has been a vast improvement on good long runs so I digress.
My check engine light is back as well and its the same code as last month. Something about the Differential DPF Sensor and its a part that has to be ordered. I do know its affecting my MPG by at least 1-1.5 lower than normal. Have had to Regen the truck about every other day so I'll need to let Janet know that my Idle Time is gonna be a bit off the mark.
Anyone else having Qualcomm signal issues? -
Just blew the turbo in Oakley...limped it to the TA but got told by Fleetnet I would have to put it on side of road cause ta doesn't allow work to be done in the lot....really I am safe but you want me to create an unsafe condition by moving to the road....arrrrrgggg
-
cummins came and fixed it...wasn't the turbo...thank god...I would hate to explain to Andy what happened...turned out to be a sensor just decided to quit working....which caused the turbo to stop building pressure....grrrrrrrrr #### electronic engines anyway....
