oooops hadn't thought of that. wouldn't want you to get in trouble with your boss. that said if they can't pay the bills unless they have some real special attraction I'd bail before they can't cover payroll.

Anchor .... ? From New Jersey ???? Naw, wait a sec, they closed down a few years ago.... LOL
Again, careful what you say here ...... -
Hmm, I pay my bills... including my phone bill. And I'm pretty sure the ringer is still working.
-
snot green colour..... when I worked for them in Ontario(90's), they had vendors refusing to do anymore work till some bills got paid, then Atlanta would send a cheque and all would be well for a bit. Never was asked to pay up front, wouldn't have happened. the main thing, thru all of their bancruptcys and restructuring crap, the pays never stopped.
Still think about asking for a leave, can't hurt?
Sorry to hear the work dried up. We don't slow down till jan and feb, and by then, I'm doing a whale imatation on a beach in florida, so I never really noticed.
Only reason I say ask for a leave, is cuz the oil work sounds fun, and pays well, but your roots are in the lower mainland, and mrs Nate might be hiding there, or mr Nate, your choice, lol. -

Guys,
What's a good small portable sat nav/GPS system that I can throw in the cab of whatever random truck I'm operating? Maybe a good quality 7" screen?
I have Oiltrax on my iPhone - Oiltrax FTW for off road/lease stuff. Hoping that can be added to the GPS as an extra layer too.
Cheers. -

Can't go wrong with a garmin.
-
I`ve said it before and I`ll be sayin' it again and again ......... Ya can't go wrong with a paper map book either ..... they don't breakdown, lose comms with the mother ship, or just plain ol give up the ghost ..... the worst thing that ever happened to a Rand MacNally North American Road Atlas of mine was in '94 ..... I spilled mustard on the page for Maine ..... and it found a crack in the laminate and stained Somerset County yellow.

And a Rand McNally is useless for the application nbh is asking about.
I have a Garmin and it surprises me with the number of lease roads that are on there. I imagine it would be better with Oiltrax. You do have to be careful regarding routing though; a GPS will often take the most direct route which may conflict with the customer's directions.
I also have Backroads map books which have very good detail as well; showing seismic lines, etc. And they cost a fraction of industry maps. Although I almost never use them any more.
The other thing I use a lot is the LSD converter from the Alberta Geological Surveyor's website to convert LSD to lat long.
