Good morning first of all. Hope everyone is ok. I heard a advertisement recently for Schneider hiring 60 drivers for birmingham, al area. Does anyone know why? Are they getting a terminal there? The ad also said it would be running the southeast, giving their drivers plenty of hometime. Does this sound right? Also I heard Schneider was getting autoshifts in their trucks. Is this correct? Thanks for any input that can be given..

No auto shifts, home time galore, Home Depot dedicated where you'll have to park your car on the DC parking lot and the truck. Around 36CPM, 2000-2200 miles a week

No problem. I was looking into that too myself. I'm OTR so I'll take a pay cut just to be at home more. I choose to just get my experience and build my CPM that way.

If you live in/near Montgomery, this is a good financially strong company in Montgomery.

Really? I live in Montgomery. What are the classifications for the tanker position? I have all my endorsements and a passport. I may have to get my TWIC card also. I only have a year experience. I'd bet that I need at least two.

I would research their new idle restrictions. They are putting sensors on their trucks. It gets awful hot in Birmingham. Cold too. You won't be able to run much electrical stuff. I would look for a company with APU;s. You can live in those trucks. Plenty of power to suffice your equipment.
