After sitting most of the week and not making ####, 1300 miles), I was deadheaded from about 60 miles north of Culpeper VA to Charlotte Pipe in Monroe NC, 340 miles! This was the first time I have been to this location. When I finally got there, they told me that my trailer had been moved to the Charlotte yard, and Maverick was told about that yesterday. After unanswered phone calls and QC messages, I just went on over there. When I finally got ahold of my temporary FM, I was told I get nothing for going to Monroe first even though my w/a said to! I thought I should have got the $30, but I guess I was wrong! Then, I asked if I could flip the deliveries around. I have a 2 stop going to Jersey City first and Long Island second. It would be alot easier traffic wise to do it the other way. The way it is loaded would work either way, and Charlotte Pipe said I could do it either way but oh no my FM said I couldn't! My whole week pretty much sucked last week, so I'm going to try to forget it! But I am seeing a lot of things I was told about....thats all I will say!

First the loads deliver in order of shortest mileage unless a customer asks for something different. Yeah sometimes that sucks for us drivers. Second you need to ask again about the stop pay because if you arrived at stop a and are told you must go to stop b instead (meaning more than across the street) then thats an extra stop. Always has been unless somethings changed. Also thats extra mileage.

I don't know who else to ask. My FM said I get the miles on the w/a which was to Monroe NC and that is it. I don't get any extra miles for having to go to the Charlotte location nor do I get the $30 because I didn't pick up or drop off anything. That's what really got me pissed. And I think he was aware of it!

@ NC rider--been there done that. Looking at the front of the building it's the gate to the right. Fedx flatbed has priority on unloading/loading if they are there with you. We parked there for the night. If you get to close to the fence a silent alarm will go off and a really nice guy with a pit bull will come to check things out if it's after hours. They won't unload you until 0730-0800. We also wished we could switch loads. If it's the same long Island load the "santa" man said he would unload @ 0500. The trailer was never loaded for us to switch. Bummer.
Good luck not a bad run just the waiting to get in and out of NY. Just breath and remember "it is what it is". I have a habit of looking at the commuters faces that do it every day. Most look like zombies on a mission. I feel sorry for them and grateful to be in the truck knowing the next day will bring a different adventure. -
If it were me, I would talk to someone else and get my $30.
Had the same thing happen last week. Was sent to the wrong address. Another driver was told that he would not get the $30. I sent in a message and said that I should get it because I was sent to the wrong address. This week I sent in a follow up message, asking if I was going to get my $30.
I was told that as long as I arrived at the first location and was re-dirrected to the second, that I would get it. I said that was the case....beep on the qualcom, Extra pay...$30.00.
Be polite, professional, but firm and talk up the line if you have to. If it is Maverick policy, I have never been turned down, but you have to go after it.vhughes Thanks this. -
