Well, I catch the bus tomorrow to head to Dallas for orientation with Schneider. :mcool: Have to start somewhere to get my experience...no crying in trucking. :mwink:I could take my car but really don't feel like it. I have friends who live in Dallas willing to take me where I need to go. I'm excited and nervous about getting started. They say that 3 bags is the max I can take with me. Being female, I don't know how I'm going to do it :mconfused:. Will try to post as much as I can. Hopefully my experiences will help someone. :msmile:

You could do a lot worse, but I'm sure you have done your research. Happy trails!

Well finished my first day @ Schneider. Wasn't as much paperwork as I thought there would be. Got embarrassed though...during the pre-work screening, not only did I fall off of the mock truck but my back hit the doorknob. :biggrin_25513:It wasn't funny at the time because there were at least 7 other people in the room, but now that I think back...it was funny. I always seem to fall in slow motion like Matrix...lol. Shook it off and tried it again...passed the whole process. Some folks weren't so lucky. After that, did some classroom time reviewing gears and speeds and such....then CBT's. Have homework to do already. Need to get to it. Loving it so far :biggrin_25525:

Hope you don't get a Dallas dispatcher. They are worthless.

In thier pre physical they have you climb up on a table that represents climbing in to the back of a trailer. Same height as a trailer. When fell he probably hit the door knob on the door that comes into the room. This is all speculation, but the same thing almost happened to me
