Youtube Drivecam or what ever the other one is (Smartcam or something).
No one is watching you.
They couldn't even if they wanted.

That's what the public was told about cameras at intersections years ago .. "to study and monitor traffic flow." We all know what came next.

 

So are you saying he's lying or that he's stupid?

 

I'm not judging anyone, simply telling it like it is in regard to how cameras responsible for drivers receiving tickets in the mail came into play.

Well we're talking about a post from someone who has actually participated in these sorts of studies and that person said that in their actual experience, these studies are conducted with no alterier motives and the results lead to positive things. And then someone who has no actual experience with this sort of thing said that information was wrong and there must be an alterier motive. Seems the assumption that the other poster was either lying or stupid was very implied to me.

people LIE (not the poster) but things are done saying one purpose as a way to ease the "roll-out" of their real intention

it happens every day in almost every facet of life. the red-light cameras were meant to stop people from red--lights, ,but the saleman always told the municipality of the profits that can be made, and then they shorten the yellow light to catch more

i remember hearing these mega's were only going to "test the eobrs", when truth was they wanted to make it fleetwide

sometimes the people doing the test dont even know the true motive, but you can tell afterwards what they really intended

tolls come to mind, every one was supposed to be dismantled after the bond was paid, i think only KY did that with the bluegrass parkway, everyone else basically lied

o, the income tax was supposed to help during WW1 or WW2, we see how that was a clear lie

 

Nowhere did I say he was wrong. Please don't attempt to misattribute words to me. The problem is with your incorrect assumptions and misinterpretations. I have plenty of experience with the cameras being installed as at one time the topic and subject was a direct part of one of my work assignments. I knew then what the local governments were doing and it wasn't traffic control. The only implication of my previous post is exactly what was stated ... that the poweres-that-be don't always tell the truth in regard to their intentions. Any assumptions beyond that are all yours.

 

Corporate America? No I haven't. But I'm married to someone who does. She works in scientific research actually. This may come as a shock to you but when she does a study with intention of finding out x, its because she wants to find out x, not y or z. No conspiracy, no tinfoil hat required.

So a mega carrier rolls out a'test of EOBR's' and you're surprised that the intent of the test was to study viability of implementing them fleet wide? Sorry you lost me on this one if you're trying to work the conspiracy angle. Why else would a profit driven organization test a piece of technology?

I know its pointless to try to reason with tin foil hat types so I won't do that. But I sleep with someone every night who designs and conducts scientific studies for a living. To my knowledge she has never once been deceived in the least about the intent of one of her studies nor has she ever been asked to deceive anyone working under her about the intent of the test. So your people doing tests not knowing the true intent comments simply don't hold water with me. Like I said though, I know I won't convince of that. But you should know that you won't convince me away from it because I've seen the evidence from the scientific side of the fence and its pretty compelling.
