Is this truck reliable? Please help....much appreciated...

    to the student how many trucks have you been in. a middle 70s kw with diamond tuck interior were top of the line. have owned seven peterbilts in my lifetime an the kws were a lot more plush inside. jon

    Hahaha jbourque i have been in a tons of trucks to be exact 4 haha 3 peterbilts 357?(daycab) it hauled dump trailers and 2 389's and i thought they were pretty sexy :D i know nothing about trucks i just suggested the brand is pretty much an american made truck granite they r made in canada to but still u will only find them here and in canada bc they dont sell them anywhere else!!!!!

    Not a 2009 engine.... go to a 2010+ with DEF or go back to a pre-2007 motor for reliability.

    I would avoid it. 2009 has a DPF on it doesn't it? DPF's slowly kill the engine. At 650,000 miles already, I would bet something major will go wrong, you may get a couple hundred thousand out of it, but that thing WILL kill your motor. Nevermind your MPG. I would avoid anything from 2008-2009. Either avoid that emissions crap alltogether or step into the trucks with the DEF/DPF system. They seem to have it figured out for 2011+. The only new engine (in my books) worth it's weight is the Detroit. But Freightliner isn't for me.
