Its already federal law!!!!! Its 11 Thousand dollar fine for the company you work for and a 3 thousand dollar fine for the driver to be on a cell phone with out a hands free headset while operating a commercial vehicle! IT SHOULD BE!

Hey guys, i had a question how old to you have to be to drive a truck in America. I am originally from Toronto, ON and would like to become a trucker so wondering what the age requirment was? also if possible can let me know how old i would have to be in Canada to drive?

18 to drive in state and 21 to cross state lines. also you have to be 21 to get doubles/ triples and hazmat endorsements

But every OTR company I've looked at lately specifies that it must be one year of OTR experience.
