can you even begin to imagine what it feels like driving an 80,000 lb. vehicle , let alone in heavy traffic????? And once again here you are bragging about the fact that you supposedly "work" in law enforcement. Then how about enforcing the law a little better and get on your fellow 4 wheelers who have no clue ( including yourself ) how to share the roads with big trucks. Big trucks need ALOT more space than you do whether you like it or not. If you slam on your brakes and you work in law enforcement, what kind of message does that send to the people you are supposedly trying to protect?? If you slam on your brakes in front of a big truck, what exactly do you think the results would be? Do you think you'll walk away from it?? You have blinders on !!!

Los Angeles is one of the better cities to get around in while driving a big truck. However, the lane usage is a hindrance all too often to truckers and citations for using necessary lanes are nothing less than harassment.

However, I would still prefer LA over Oakland Bay Area, Philadelphia or New York City/New Jersey. Then again, California is another totally corrupt state where the division of speed limits on the open freeways is a farce and is nothing less than a means of revenue collection. Shame on Government that is not for the protection of people. If you have a heavy load on in LA, just give your self as much room and time as possible to be where you need to be.

One more thing, the admin excuses for high fines on log books has nothing to do with safety either. If I were to inspect the documents created by the DOT, I bet I could fine the majority of DOT agents out of their paychecks because or their Administrative errors. FACT! When will government start protecting rather than raping society?

When we the people stand up and do something about it. Until we as a nation grow a set and band together we will continue to take it up the a from government bullies who's only concern is to pad their own pockets and hold the regular man down.

And that ain't no bull! But, what amazes me is the number of people who don't believe there is anything wrong with our system!(?)

The Government is great. It's many of those who draw a government paycheck that needs to go find a new job; i.e. dog catcher, street sweeper, etc.

I remember a time when all public police vehicles said, "To Serve and Protect!"

Now most of them say, "Law Enforcement!" That to me is a total change in philosophy within the political spectrum of life today. Enforcement is Government Power over the People and has little, if anything to do with serving and protecting society.

Now, given the fact that many Police Officers do care, they should consider the meaning of the two statements and their impact on society.

possible and not be a bully on the roads. Your truck runs 70, so what? It doesn't mean you're better than the other truckers who run the center lane for safety's sake. Especially going thru a city.

This isn't right. If you want to be an arse, be one on your own time. It doesn't belong behind the wheel of an 80,000lb guided missile. The industry is due for a change, lose the tude.
