I haven't seen a lot of info on them so figured i would put something up here. I'm 2 weeks in and it's been going pretty good. When you first start they put you through 2 days of orientation then get you rolling. I decided to leave right after orientation but they gave everyone the choice to go the next day. They are also starting to go Elogs so everyone in my class is on them. I have always been a small company run hard driver but now that I'm on the Elogs I don't mind it. The miles have been decent but I'm only 2 week in so we'll see what happens in the future. These trucks get crazy fuel mileage. I've seen people say all the loads must be light but I just moved a load weighing 42000 and I'm still getting 9.8. Im still trying to get use to backing these trailers up I come from flatbed which most are spread axle so its a little different then what im use to. Well I'll try and update if anything changes.

I see the trucks on the road all the time, your not governed at 65 are you? Thinking that might be why you get better MPG, the companies like to say that's why they do it but anyone working with diesel's knows they have an RPM range that offers the best MPG......and 65mph ain't it!!!!

Aerodynamics is the single most important factor to fuel economy and aerodynamic drag increases exponetionaly buy a factor of four for every mile per hour you increase speed the smart companies gear their trucks to turn 1350 or so at 62 mph therefore allowing the new electronic engines to run at their most efficient speed while keeping drag lower . I learned the stuff about aerodynamic drag when I got my pilots license .
