You better double check your understanding of the "in line v fueling"....Line 1 while waiting, change duty status to Line 4 when fueling....Swift log dept will compare fueling times (fuel card) with E-log times. The duty status change to Line 4 has as an explanation of duty "FUELING"....best to verify their explanation, it might differ from what your Mentor will be teaching.

Legally your supposed to stop and inspect your cargo with in the first 50mi/1hour and then again every 3 hours/150mi. Van driver rarely stop for "load checks" although it should be logged on line 4. This is more important as a flat bedder.

You take a break when you are done driving for the day or when you are at the shipper/receiver.
-
There are no longer regular stops for hazmat loads. After 9-11 the did away with it for security reasons.

just a heads upthere is no time stamp on fueling (when using a TCH card not sure on comdata) UNLESS there is one on the receipt only a date stamp. just in case u fall behind just remember it has to look good on the log book it must be logged and it has to fall somewhere in the 24hr period. also this is really only audit proof if u do not have a qualcomm or gps tracked truck

The beauty of driving for Swift is that I will be teaming with my fiance, so no mentor...LOL...........but he's been driving for 19 years and has been with Swift for 8 months, so I will be learning a lot of the small details from him.otherhalftw said: ↑You better double check your understanding of the "in line v fueling"....Line 1 while waiting, change duty status to Line 4 when fueling....Swift log dept will compare fueling times (fuel card) with E-log times.
