Miles always stink around the holidays.
As far as weekend pay goes. If his FM said he could go home and he chose not to for whatever reason he will not get the weekend guarantee. A couple of times we were told "this load gets you home". But, because of delays at the shipper(out of our control) We ran out of time and couldn't make it home and get a reset so we stayed out. Loop holes. Every company has them. If there was no way for him to come home, to many miles away then keep trying to get it. You just aren't talking to the right person. Most of the time when we get hung out the run is 780+ anyway so the extra 20 miles or so isn't much. Only once about a year ago did we get a run that kept us out and was only 500 miles.

Plus, if he was late for his Monday delivery he wouldn't have gotten it for the next weekend. Again loop holes. What I mean by late is If his appointment time was 0700-2300. He didn't make it until 1100. He missed the 1000 Monday Maverick delivery time.

Hubby called fm. Weekend pay should be on his next check it was mistakenly left off.
hesgoneagain Thanks this. -
Well, this week went to hell quick! I had 1630 miles EARLY Wednesday, and that is what I will end up with for the week. And to top it all off, my next 2 weeks will be about half that. I see why people say you tend to lose weight flatbedding....I won't be able to buy food on these checks! Seriously though, next week will be week 5 out of 8 with 1600 or less miles. I understand it slows down, but this is ridiculous! If they don't have freight over on my side of the world, than they shouldn't be hiring people over here. At this point, I am just hoping to get to the 6 month mark so I don't have to start over again with a trainer somewhere else...

A few things that you need to remember. One you started at the worst time of the year for flat bed freight. Things always slow up December through March. I know that doesn't help your financial situation.
It's always darkest before the dawn. Hang in there try to keep a good positive attitude. -
Speaketh the truth does Sewerman, yes. Flatbed Freight, in a couple of months, pick up it will..... Do not give in to the dark side.
