What size scraper is it ? Is it normal to have to split it in half. I have a feeling over here in oz we carry them in one piece. Our oversize laws must be easier on us. Been reading your thread from day one very interesting. Have a great Xmas

depends on the model. Some we can haul together in the states.
    They got the easy part.
Hauling and chaining the front half can be a pain if you don't chain it right, plus having enough blocking.
But seeing how they are at the Cat plant they have the blocking for it there.

Yes, that front part was supposed to be ours but they got the dispatches mixed up.

Sitting in Walcott...waiting for the roads to improve over around Des Moines . Bought one of those Tailgator Dish Network sat things...works GREAT. No more trying to site the Dish in manually!!! That was our Christmas present to eachother. I would give it 5 stars!!

The other truck is ahead of us....he got stuck in Des Moines on an icy hill...then he had some two lane to do on the other side, we have not heard from him yet. He did get off the icy hill, I guess he chained up or something anyway that is why we are sitting here at Walcott...the roads are just too bad yet today to travel with these big loads. It is not worth your life or your job to do stupid things.

Word of warning about the tailgator. They will blow off the trk. in high winds.
One of the guys I know had one.. Had it up on the headache rack. High winds came and blew it off the top and broke.
He had to buy another one..
Be safe and happy holidays to you and the better half..
