I start class January 14th in Richfield Wisconsin, something I have learned so far is dont be afraid to ask these Millis drivers, in this forum, anything. These guys have been willing to answer a lot of my questions, and have been perfectly 100% honest with me. If you ever get a chance to speak with one or more of these drivers personally, I would highly recommend doing so. I got to experience life on the road this week with a friend of mine, and had the opportunity to personally meet one of the drivers at a truck stop, eased my nerves quite a lot, we talked for a good half hour. I have also spoke with a driver over the phone that has been with Millis a little over 6 months. Gotta say with how much these guys are willing to answer any ?s, there is no doubt in my mind that I have chosen a top notch company.

Thanks for the replies so far. It's going to be a total change for me. After reading all the stuff in here I can't wait.

Truck rides nice on heavy beer loads in my opinion. Only difference is take corners a little slower and don't be riding up on anyones bumper. And I'd say right now anyway only about 20% of my loads have been beer loads.Tim83 Thanks this.

Cant be much different than heavy paper loads. Maybe alittle?

Beer and paper can tip over but paper can have disastrous consequences when it does.

Thats what i was thinking. The paper i hauled in a dry van was always lying on its side, never standing up. Can still flip trailer if not carefull.
