specs for turnpike truck in praires

    Hello 2 all, I have a question (1) what will be the ideal specs for truck pulling two 53' trailers in prairies , primarily in SK. Thks

    2.64 rears, 18 double over final drive 0.73, heavy lipe clutch, and a custom tuned 900 or more hp motor. Ungoverned, of course. 600 gallons of fuel tanks.:biggrin_25525:

    Hi I have been pulling turnpikes in the AB, SK, and MB for 7 years and at first we used 18 speeds and 4:11 gear ratio's but now we use the same set up you would use for 1 trailer. The idea is that it's the prairies all you need to do is get it rolling. I also am going to buy a truck for pike's in the prairies and I will be getting a Volvo 670 with the Volvo D13 Volvo I-shift 12 speed transmission, with 3.73 to 3.55 ratio. Also keep in mind Regina SK is always going to be your cheapest fuel so 600 gallons is not needed 300 is all you need especially if you are not leaving SK .

    15L motor, 18 speed, super 40's, 22.5 & 3.73 or 24.5 and 3.90.

    Just ordered a truck myself for the same thing.
