He installed a collapsible frame on his trailer so he can get it a little closer to the ground on those windy days.

He either slammed into a bridge and instead of opening the top like a tin can it folded. Or he didn't maintain the trailer and the frame rails cracked.

It's nice finally having some time off. Got 5 days off for Christmas. Going to just enjoy relaxing and doing nothing now for a while.

A pretrip or a yearly inspection on a trailer is just more than tires, brakes and lights!!!

Does SNI still teach to check the rivets and crossmembers on the trailers? This pic made me curious.

Yes they do still teach to check everything. Most of the drivers seem to be to lazy to even walk around the trailer much less look at anything.

I picked up one a few weeks ago that should've been OOS long before I picked it up pre-loaded at a customer. The ICC bumper was almost gone. It was mostly rust and just kicking it made pieces fall off. I didn't see it when I picked it up. The shop in Indy covered the whole thing with reflective tape so I could take it to delivery in Chicago. Then I ended up relaying it in Gary. Told the shop there that it should be OOS and they said they would look at it and decide if they wanted to replace the bumper or just unload it onto a different trailer.
