Some time ago I came across some kinedyne rhino web straps, they lasted a very long time. I finally wore them out and I ordered some new ones, they came in yesterday. I noticed the new ones are not nearly as thick and seem to be constructed really cheap. To me they look like a normal kinedyne strap except they were grey and labeled "rhino web." I got them shipped direct from kinedyne not some aftermarket broker. Just curious if any one knows if they are still as tough as the older ones or if kinedyne is taking regular straps making them grey, putting the rhino logo on them and marking up the price. Thanks in advance for the help.

Could be a possibility that they've been able to make stronger webbing but also make it not as thick, just stronger material. What's the WLL on the rhino straps?

What makes the rhino straps different if they have the same WLL as the regular straps? I'm just asking
-
They are to handle abrasion better than regular straps. The old ones seemed to be almost like a double thick strap. The new ones seem to be thin like a regular strap. Their web site says they are 30% thicker to handle wear better than regular strap but the ones I just got are the same thickness as the regular straps.
DrtyDiesel Thanks this. -
Oh okay I got you

seems like the vulcans pro series would be better in that case. 6600 Wll but they're also 35.99/strap with flat hooks in 30ft but 44.99 for chain leads wasn't too bad in my opinion just wish they came in 40ft.SHC Thanks this.

I have about 15 of the Ancra X-treme straps. They are great for abrasive loads, but a PITA to wrap around the winch. They are also coated so they also don't absorb water so they don't freeze, which is very nice.

As I understand it they used to be made in America along with Ancra but now they all are made in China. They might be assembled in China from USA webbing, don't know.

Sounds like those would be a good deal where'd you find yours?
