Well it has been a minute since i last last posted here. I finally started laying down miles till i got over to east coast area. It's been an adventure over here in the few days of running here. I for one cannot wait to get back to the west coast where the sun shines. Lol. I dealt with tornado weather growing up in Arkansas and until driving a big rig in this weather, had never thought about it. I can admit, i think my bottom has eaten part of the seat. Maybe I'm just use to the heavy loads i was getting, I know I do not like feeling like I'm going to be riding on 7 wheels like a stunt driver in the movies. It has been wild. I'm glad I got a chance to make a drop at the Berea, KY. yard. I got stuck in the thick of it last night and needed a place to shut down. Well I'm here in Dalton and will get a load tomorrow heading to Denver. It'll be nice to get some home time and see my new house.

No i came down from the Austintown terminal. Picked up a G.E. load to Tennessee and then deadheaded to the Dalton terminal and am waiting for my load to Denver

OK. So i haven't took the time to post my experience to date with WS. Im on my phone as to no laptop yet. Sorry in advance any errors. To back track to orientation, was really good, learned a lot of things they do not teach in school. Cor someone who may read this who is thinking of a career with WS, keep the red book handy as they tell as it will be of great help as it has for me. Plus if you go to Missoula for training they will happily share how many times they get a call from a driver with a question that the answer is in the red book. They teach you what it takes to start out on your own and will only pass you if they feel you can continue to get better and do it safely. The real training begins out on the road. You ether like it or you don't. I admit, as a person who has worked all his life where at the end of the day was sitting at home, i do get lonely. My experience as of now has been one of mixed feelings. I love the job. Hate being broke down. Miss home. Like the adventure. WS has been true in what they tell you. They have a good way of being honest about how they do things. As like home time. They will put you on the
List and try to get you home. Doesn't mean you will get there when you want all the time but you will get there. They pay for the amount of time you work will not add up on some days and will be more then enough for a new driver on other days. They do try their best to keep your equipment running right but you may have my luck and get that one crappy truck that wants everything to go wrong when it wants to. Dang truck lol. It is what it is. I have thought of quitting at times but I'm too stubborn to quit. This may not be any fault of the companies and sure is not of anyone that works here. A many of drivers i have meet has helped in keeping my head held up. You get what put in. This company doesnt bother you with bs nor does it want it. They do value you and want you running safe. They do want you running and productive. It's a business even i can grasp that. Got to make money to spend money and got to spend money to make it. I do not read the future and can not say where i will be ib my own career. I do know i owe a great thanks to WS for being confident in me to drive and haul freight for them. I've meet people who don't kbow this company. Others who make fun of us. Yet i have not meet a person who dies or has worked here that a lot of bad to say. For those that might read this that do. I can only say you get out of it what you put in it. Well my phone is acting up so may be more later. Be safe out therehup, SpiritWolf and jomar68 Thank this.
