I recently graduated from ESD truck driving School in Decatur,AL. Now I've been on the job search for a few weeks. My problem is finding a company that hires new drivers and has a pet policy. I have a miniature pinscher that will have to go on the road with me after orientation and road training, I know I cant take him with me during that time. I want to go OTR or even Team OTR as a company driver. If anyone can shoot some company names in my direction of ones that allow pets, I'd be forever grateful. I've had a few turn down for a speeding ticket I got in my personal vehicle in 6/2010 before I had a CDL. Getting a little frustrated. Thanks!

Werner Enterprises out of Omaha, NE will likely take you on, and they also have a pet policy.

US Xpress would probably take you on. Their pet charge is the least out of all.

17 mph over in 6/2010. I've been unemployed since 4/2012 with no luck finding work which is why I went to trucking school. Walmart fired me for absences due to surgery and complications from it for squamous cell carcinoma (precancerous cervical cancer). Some companies denied me because I don't have 6 months verifiable employment which is crap because I've been on unemployment and can prove it. They say they either go by experience for driving or if you don't have experience, the last 6 months employment. I cant win for loosing. There's my story and I'm sticking to it.

conway truckload and kllm both have pet policies. did you plead guilty to 17 over???? trucking looks at that as not just speeding generally. good luck!!!
