Officially (I believe) you need to be staying in the truck for that to happen. If your trainer is a stand-up guy, he'll get you a place to stay, and tell dispatch you're on the truck. At least that's what my trainer did for me during the many times he took a couple of days off during my training. But that was ages ago too.

So if you are on the road with the trainer and he goes home and gets you a hotel room and prime knows about it, your not getting the 600.00 guarantee because of the hotel costs right? so they will subtract that from the gaurantee? depending on how many days in the hotel?
-
So you would have to get the trainer to leave u in the truckstop with the truck while he get someone to come pick him up or drop him close by his home with the truck and park at the truckstop. and u get the 600.00 guarantee.

NO NO NO... If the trainer goes home and you are stuck in a hotel, you get your $600. If you stay on the truck you get your $600. So long as you are available for dispatch, IE: You did not go home, you are getting your guarantee. It is either the company or the driver who has to pay for your hotel room. You can stay on the truck, but it has to be at the truckstop. There have been horror stories about trucks sitting out in the boonies and students having no access to bathrooms, food & showers.

Well when my trainer went home for a few days I stayed on the truck in his driveway and got paid.

I prefer to be at the truckstop or hotel than at trainers house even if it is in the truck, i would not feel comfortable. Like silenteagle said access to bath an showers an food.

My memory of this obviously isn't the best. I stand corrected sir! Merry Christmas All!

Fleet managers play games with this, trying to bilk the trainee outta the $600 guarantee. Merry Christmas.

I went to the state police office and got a criminal background check done, it will be 15 business days before i get the results. If it comes back with nothing on it, but i do have 2 misdemeanors in my life, but when i went to the court to get a copy of the record, the lady told me that they destroy the conviction record after 10 years on the 1st misdemeanor. The problem i have now is before i did all of this i filled out an app with prime and put those 2 misdemeanors on there. Now if the criminal check comes back with nothing on there, that means it never existed right? and i could tell the recruiter that the criminal records were destroyed. The 2nd misdemeanor i have is at a different court, but both courts are in virginia. If the 1st court told me that, will the 2nd court do the same thing? But i guess i will find out when the background check comes back. Just wanted you guys thoughts.

Leave it the way it is. You have two misdemeanors, whether or not the court records exist. If you try to say you don't, and they come up through an NCIS check, you're in trouble with Prime.
