I'm starting to get very interested in this company and wish more drivers who have drive for them would give up the inside scoop.
-
I am commited for the 7th. I would like to find a few current drivers also to talk to. I hope it goes well but if not I have made a deal with the company that I work for now to take 3 months leave and still have a guaranteed spot if I come back before that so I am going to give it a try.
Blanche Thanks this. -
Yeah, i just like knowing how the drivers run and what thier take on the company is. Then again, being as small as it is.. Maybe it has a lot of driveres who dont want many people learning of the job. Thats how it us with a few places around here.

What did they tell you regarding pay? Their website says "competitive compensation".
-
With me having almost 4 years.. I get .33cpm. 26cpm + forced .07 per diem. Harldy competative for anyone with experiance. I made .33cpm when i just finished training for central.

My husband works for climate now and they have a rider policy so I am with him 24/7 in the truck, lol. I do all the paperwork, he does all the driving. We've been here since the beginning of November and it is going pretty good. We NEVER wait longer than 5 minutes after delivering for a new load, they give you whatever home time you ask for. We stay out a lot usually 3 weeks. Insurance doesn't start until after 90 days so I don't know much about it. We are in a Volvo automatic (what he was given, not his choice) but he said he is warming up to it. Since we've been here we've went to Denver twice Dallas once and the rest has been all northeast. So if you have any questions I'll tell you what we know.

Thank you for all the good info! Glad you guys are doing good there, what's the northeast equate to? If you don't mind? Boston? Jersey? Just trying to figure out their customer base and how they run? Much frozen? Or? What year Volvo? Is it a fleet spec? Or owner op? Trailers newer? Keep on Truckin and be safe!

I was told no nyc and their east consist of pa,nj and anotuer state.. Looks like thats strike 1 for them. Do you guys run much 67/167 from little rock ar up to st louis,mo? I was told i could get plenty of drive through time as i live in poplar bluff mo. Do you guys complain about north east or just take it? Do you have a dispatcher or is it a regional set up deal? How are your miles? So you can take whatever home time you want... I was told 34 hours every 14 days. Thanks for any insight amwest

The truck we have is a 2012, plastic still on everything, real nice, just wish it were a 780 considering its the 2 of us. It is a fleet, no owner op to my knowledge. We haven't had any problems with the trailers they all are new, we havent had that many reefer loads. As far as Arkansas we haven't been that way at all, we are from KY though so I think that's why we get stuck with the northeast loads, because hubby would prefer the west. We have never complained about the northeast loads just keep trucking along, we have gone to MD, MA, NJ, PA, DE, RI, CT, NH, we havent been to NYC. We do have a dispatcher who keeps us moving. We are a little disappointed with the miles, but that's normal around the holidays I suppose and we should be getting more miles soon since its the new year. You can not fuel wherever you want, pilot or flying J only, unless there's an emergency then you get enough fuel to get you to a pilot or flying J to fill up. Basically their customer base is a circle, we pick up in the St Louis area go deliver then pick up and bring it back to the St Louis area, so it's always a brokered load on your back haul. As far as home time we haven't had any issues, we were told 2 weeks out 2 days off, 3 weeks out is 3 days off, but so far we ask they give no problems. A con that we do have is that they don't have an e z pass, with all this northeast we take out a cash advance and pay the tolls then they reimburse you back on that check so it's really not a big deal, just an inconvience, but they do have prepass. I think I answered everything lol, let us know if you want to know anything else.
