OK, wasn't totally sure the new round of Training (national van) would actually start as scheduled...until today. My recruiter called today with final details (car rental, hotel). Everything's a GO for starting in Ellenwood this coming Monday. Will make the 9 hour drive down on Sunday. Look out Roehl, here I come!

My first post!
I applied two weeks ago with Roehl. Went through the credit check, background check, DMV check and today I received the conditional job offer. I go for my DOT physical tomorrow and start getting stuff together for my trip to Marshfield for the training/school. Hopefully sometime in late January.
I've been lurking for a while and feel like I already know some of you. The information you all have posted helped me make Roehl my number 1 choice. I chose Van National believing I'll get more miles.
Thanks for making my decision a fairly easy one. -
Welcome to the board! I'm in pretty much the same state as you; I had my DOT physical and am now waiting for the paperwork from that to work its way through Roehl. Once that has occurred I'm supposed to find out my RDTC start date. I went for flatbed.

Another flatbedder! Hell yeah! Your gonna love it.technoroom Thanks this.
-
Thanks Techno! It's really going to be an adventure.

Nottoway, wish I could go south to Ellenwood. Will need to be content with Gary. Thought I'd get away from snow. Keep us updated on your progress and I'll try as well. New to driving (except for school), I am ready to get started. Glass half full kind of guy, so let's see what Roehl is all about.
Nottoway Thanks this. -
Good luck Techno and Irish!
Irishman56 and technoroom Thank this. -
Feels like being in a club. Waiting for confirmation of tentative start date: January 21.
-
Yeah, I definitely wanted to stay south for as much of my training as possible. Figured there'll be plenty of time to 'enjoy' northern weather later! Plus Ellenwood only trains 6 drivers at a time.
Will also try to update as I go.DaytonaDoug and Rotorhead Thank this.
