It's on the right down NC 421 after the last set of tracks past the power plant.

    LOL!
I put in an app with QC and was approved to get hired a while back.

I was told to call the "terminal mgr" which I did. (terminal mgr was a stretch of the imagination, more like a glorified admin asst)
After having a phone discussion with the so called "terminal mgr" I was informed that he had no openings-had all the drivers he needed...lol.
So I called Cliff back at QC corporate and told him everything-he was surprised as he said they needed 6 drivers at the time.
Last I heard the mgr at QC used to work at florida rock locally but I may be wrong.
That must be why they have a full time ad looking for drivers....:biggrin_2559:

I had the same experience with a tank line in Raleigh. Called corporate, put in my app which was approved and they told me to call the terminal manager. He told me they had no openings. Total waste of my time.

Fortunately for me, and all of us, this IS the good 'ol days. And, for your information, Grasshopper, all you have to do to verify that your engine brakes are functional is to idle the engine, run the rpm's up, let off the throttle. If the engine brakes are working, you'll hear the exhaust note change and the rpm's will quickly drop. If not, the engine will just slow down. So, J3ff3r50n, got any more wisdom to share from the depths of your own experience?

Snowman, I hear you speaking, but I think a lot depends on where you're running. I'd not want to run that Dallas to Seattle mountain run with no engine brakes. Cruising around the midwest or east coast, well, I guess there's a reason trucks are outfitted with engine brakes. A good reason.
