Wait to see what the tax code is going to be in 2013... the Fiscal Cliff aside, the tax cuts do expire and you may find yourself in a deeper hole than you can hope to get out of. Oh, have you noticed the price of fuel is rising too and a longshoreman strike on the east coast could devastate the economy to the tune of a billion dollars per day.
Just putting it out for your consideration.

Ok, yes your right about that, thats one reason why I am waithing after this wk, its in KW- Jville, Fl. I manage real good with fuel with the trk that I was using, if this one here does good I will be ok, but then again I am glad you reminded me about the Fiscal Cliff.

We have an '05 just like you described and not that impressed with fuel mileage. We pull a flat with it but having a big box at the top is going to be worse. Overall it is one of the worse trucks I have worked with.
Stick has been averted for now and Obama would be crazier than normal to allow it to happen. Biggest problem with fiscal cliff is not the rise in taxes and spending cuts but all the loons on TV working people into a lather over it. Consumer confidence is rarely swayed by rational thought. And that would be what hurts.
Never make a business decision based on politics. If what you are doing makes sense on a 5-year plan then what happens over the next 12-months is meaningless. If you don't have the capital to survive slow times then rolling the dice even if you feel we have a good economy is a bad idea.barnmonkey and volvodriver01 Thank this. -
Well, its a 2year plan 1400monthpayment, I drove international before, but the isx is something else, I lke cummings, always don good with them but I am driving another truck right now. A 2005 volvo isx but its need to be put on a machine to reset everything cause of the problems other than that the fuel mileage was 8.5 to 9 unloaded & 7.4 to 7.7 loaded 42,ooopds. but now its 4.8 loaded or empty. It looks like Ill be finding more about this wk. My freightliner was getting 7mpg loaded or empty, the problem was rough riding an I was not a happy camper at the end of the day. It does have 475hp hopefully it
maybe blessing if not I will walk away. -
Won't you need a tag axle for the heavy cans?
Many around these parts will remove the sleeper (to lighten the tractor) and cut down the tanks to make room for a tag axle. -
i will sell you my 06 t600 for close to the same price. it gets 6.5 if you keep your foot out of it. i run 65-67 pulling a step deck. c15 cat/13 speed/3.33

With that kind of weight mileage varies. You want more power..
