Can't you say no? Unless I'm mistaken, with that whole 4th amendment thing unless there is probable cause and/or reasonable suspicion they can't force their way into the sleeper berth...
With all the danger out there do you guys keep anything to protect yourselves?

I have only been OTR 8 years still I have only been in one physical altercation-and that was with another Truck Driver. Speaking of which;my daughter-in-law asked me not long ago what scares me the most being "out there." I answered quickly and honestly..I am MOST worried of other driver's carrying a "piece." You know..When I must get the moroon who blocked me in the T.S. or Rest area to move,or confront the idio who decided to have a full 3-course dinner and shower after pulling up after fueling. His being a bit unstable and thinking he's John Wayne is an unsettling thought.
I hesitated to post this as this forum does NOT need yet another sentence devoted to the 'I'm gonna carry a handgun for protection and don't care what you think vein'Do as you will. However what I posted above is indeed what I am concerned the most about when on the road.Flip Flops, j3411 and OldHasBeen Thank this. -
I have an 8.8 million volt taser, but only when in a ##### neighborhood do I actually carry it though. Will lay out anyone for a few minutes, legal in most states, no carry license needed and no dead bodies left to be in court over afterwards.

"Holy Electric Chair Batman."
How many Amperes of current?

I hope Honch didn't taser himself/herself..(theirself) 8.8 million volts? Isn't that what Captain James T. Kirk had in his phaser? (And,how the hell does one spell that)

I carry a flashlight that also doubles as a tazer blind and shock them at the same time.

Keep a hammer , nothing wrong with that. A strong disposition and pepper pray works also. But the best policy is avoidance.
Rocky Top Thanks this. -
It's not the volts that kill you bumpy it's the amperage. 8.8million volts will drain a triple-A battery pretty quick though.
-
I think tinfoiltrucker has the best policy avoid the situation. It doesn't hurt to have a backup plan however. Fortunetly I have never come to a point where I thought I might need to use the tazer function of my flashlight and I pray it stays that way.

A dirty bomb made out of manure is better. According to a Leo that I know manure is the primary ingredient in a dirty bomb
