melton good or bad

    Your a road recruiter and you don't know what is on the site?

    Straight from melton website:

    DRIVER QUALIFICATIONS
    If you are looking for a company that offers excellent pay, top-of-the-line equipment, and terrific benefits, Melton can help. We are now hiring professional over the road drivers with at least 3 months of recent solo over the road driving.

    Driver Requirements:

    • At least 21 years of age
    • A valid CDL Class A from the state you reside in
    • You must meet all applicable D.O.T. regulations (including a D.O.T. physical and NIDA approved drug screen administered by Melton's company physician)
    • No more than 4 moving violations in the last 3 years.
    • No more than 2 preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
    • No more than 1 "D.O.T. Reportable" Preventable in the last 3 years
    • No felonies within the last 7 years.
    • Must pass an integrity interview and meet Melton's work attendance and availability requirements
    • No suspensions resulting from points or tickets in the last 3 years
    • Misdemeanors will be considered on a case by case basis.

    #### dude calm the #### down! I just thought you made a typo based on what the website said. I stand corrected. Your right i dont work there but if everyone is so quick to fly off the handle as you are maybe i dont wanna?? Maybe

    How did I fly off the handle? Cuz I made it so big? I figured you needed it big cuz you apparently missed it on the website.

    And it probably hasn't been updated because we have only started taking 1 month exp drivers recently..

    Now that I have no idea. I guess they figure you've been on your own for a while and have at least some smarts as to driving a truck. If you ask me, I wouldn't mind seeing the exp go back up, but I don't make the standards. I think it will hurt us more than it helps us when all the new guys make the CSA go up. (Not saying only the new guys will get points)...

    Thank you for the answer. I unfortunately have no otr experience. I have run locally in three states but they are all within 60 miles of my home base. Ran for a well service company but those runs were only 100 miles or so and did require overnight stays on well sites. I am trying to get into an over the road as this has been something I have wanted to do a long time. So trying to find a way. Again thank you for all your input and any advice you may have.

    I live in CA. Been driving a day cab. I've been thinking a lot bout going back over the road. What can you tell me bout Melton. I have never driven flat bed but want too. Do they run paper logs or obc logs
