    Hello everyone,

I've just begun in the Texas Oil fields, up here around Dallas/Ft. Worth Denton area.

If anyone is interested, I'm vlogging about it on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iZaVMNPJPoM

    Stay safe out there.

Just the saw your videos. Great stuff. I'm currently getting my cdl in San Antonio. I'll be graduating 24 Jan. Do you have names of companies I should contact?

Down south I'm not so sure. The companies up here are Crest, Nabors, devon, best.

If you have the time/means, drive to Victoria Texas. I understand that is ground central for where you are. Start calling numbers that you see on the back of trucks and start talking to different drivers at the local donut and coffee stops.

It won't take you long to find someone interested in you.

Great video's. Gives some good insight into the oilfield and what to expect.

How do guys get started on fracking crews?

I'm not sure how the fracking crew guys get started. Honestly, I bet it's the same as everyone else. Show up and knock on doors. In this boom time, you'll get picked up.

I applied online with Halliburton and got a phone interview. I had no experience or cdl, but I made sure my application made it clear that I like to work outside. It's a good idea to go to the local yard and talk with some guys. Tell them you are interested in working and see if they can give you a recruiter's number or even get you in contact with a service leader that can help you get on.
