went to pick this up yesterday. was told it weighed about 45k. closest scale was 45 miles away. 5 axles. was i pissed??? weighed it, screamed, and took it down the road to my friends garage 3 miles away. told the broker to give me $1000 for my trouble and he'll get the location of the machine and the keys. I'm still pissed

Should have got at least 9 dollars a mile for that load.
-
i would be more shocked if one told the truth....

What>no air suspension guages?

if the load is prepaid you might want to b a little careful about hiding the load.

Is that a fire truck you're hauling in your avatar?

What did the broker say or do when u told him that. ive run into alot stupid situations like this and i always wanted to tell them something like that. is it considered stealing or anything like that??? let me know cause next time they lie to me im gonna find a way for them to pay me. Lol

to be fair...perhaps the broker was told that it was around 45k? shippers lie occasionally too.
SHC Thanks this. -
Share with you, most shippers have no clue as well as brokers.
Been more than once some fool is a expert and that is where this type of mistakes happens, drivers end up cleaning up the mess or dealing with it best they can and it sucks.
