1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

I know a guy that was convicted of a felony and did 12 years. It was a violent offense also. He went to school for CR England and drove for them for 2 years. You might want to check with them. Its tough with a felony these days. That can definitely be career limiting. Too many companies want a clean record these days. Good luck.

I'm sure it all depends on how long its been and what the offense was... (I don't want to know and its no ones business... hint)
Your larger carriers tend to be a little more flexible.

Apply with these companies ; they hire felons.
    Can apply online.
I recommend apply with all of them and see what happens.

    Western Express
    Paschall Truck Lines
    Carolina Cargo
    Buel Inc.

Since he's 27, it can't be too old. Try the bigger companies. ALL of them have criminal history guidelines. Only thing you can really do is put in a app and see what happens.
