Roughly, 9-10k miles @ .35/mile. Reefer driver, solo. Your mileage may vary....
-
so on average your making between 3000-3500 per month? this seems to be some kind of standard in OTR? Seems a bit low for the amount of days on the road? it would be nice making this much and atleast having the weekends off
-
8-10,000, .46loaded/.38empty, tanker.

I pay myself a $3250 monthly salary.
I try to keep the miles under 8000.
Whatever I have left in the bank belongs to the truck. -
Your expectations may be just a little high. Im a student myself, but with all the research if done and all the different experiences i've heard from current drivers, this is decent money for a newbie/rookie. But remember, your pay does increase with experience OTR.

Sounds like great money driver. If you dont mind me asking, who do you drive for?
-
so roughly 3-4 grand per month. May I ask, How much hometime do you usually get in that month your driving lets say average 9000
-
-
I drive for Superior Carriers. Hometime varies depending on how hard I feel like working. Usually 1.5-2 days at home and 8 or 10 days out. I've been working pretty hard lately though, I've only had 3 full days and a couple partial days at home since the week after thanksgiving.
OP, I just noticed you are in Canada. I would imagine you guys probably turn more miles in a month because you have more liberal hos than we do. Not to mention it's a bigger country with greater distances between major cities.AKOO Thanks this.
