And also provides company sponsored training (as in, they have their own school like Schneider and Roehl). So far, the only one that I have come across is Watkins and Shepard, though I don't know about the 90 day waiting period from graduation until I can bring my dog with me. So, are there any companies like this? Or am I only gonna be able to find W&S and wait the total 4 months before I can bring my dog with me.
And by heavy dog, I mean 50+ pounds.

Does Stevens have a pet policy?
Once you;ve become a solo driver, you may travel with a pet that weighs no more than 40 pounds. There is a pet deposit required.

That's from Stevens' website. My dog weighs 50 pounds. And I don't think that they would give an allowance for an extra 10 pounds.....And I
would be afraid that they would find out if I lied and said that my dog weighs 40 pounds.

I have a friend who drives for Werner. He is happy there, but I have heard many horror stories about that company. And paying them $1000 to bring my husky on the truck with me is a bit much.... I had thought of CFI, but I would have to bring $1000 to pay up front for the school, and their new pet policy has made me cross them off the list.
Schneider and Roehl both have training schools, but neither of them allow pets. I thought about TMC, but they don't allow pets. They advertise in the local paper.

If not for that 90 period, W&S would be perfect.

W/S also charges $500 up front for a pet deposit.

    Oh ####, diet time.

I wouldn't worry about it. They just don't want some monster dog who people are scared of.
