This problem could be caused by a few things. you could have have a high pressure oil leak (HEUI) under the valve cover, ie injector o ring, or faulty injecting spilling too much oil from it's spill port. usually these will cause no start when hot, and hard start when cold. could also have a faulty HEUI pump. If your leaning more toward a fuel problem I would be tempted to check the suction tubes in the fuel tanks i have seen them crack causing aerated fuel, not too comon but it happens. I strongly doubt it's the ecm, i have only replace 1 in 12 years.
