You got your CDL last month; try to be employed within 30 days of getting your CDL or it could be a problem with the delay. Many companies don't want to see a gap of 30 days or longer. Best wishes.

I did my initial training with Werner. I Lucked out had a good trainer who looked out for me. I had to do the 325 hours of training I hear they went back down to 275 behind the wheel training. It took me about 2 months only because he was on a dedicated account and we were home every weekend. Look as far as trainers it's going to be luck of the draw and how well you guys mesh. At orientation you will sit thru a lot of presentations and have to do a lot of web based training. Upon completion you'll more than likely go back to the hotel and wait a few days until your trainer swings by that area. Word of advice make sure you take along your pre hire application with you because once you arrive you will have to fill out a other one. Make sure they match the information. I have seen people sent home because info didn't match and the claimed if was falsification and put a mark on his DAC. Upon completion you'll end up in some terminal and test out and if they have trucks you'll get yours if not you'll get sent home till they do. If you go to a dedicated account you'll get your truck same day you test out. Bottom line is this don't expect much make your own judgment only you will decide the good and the bad.
Goodluck.truck313 Thanks this.
