I prefer to pay myself, and not the oil company share holders. But that's all right. Shell, Texaco, BP and the rest need fast burners so they can reach into your pocket and clean ya out while you're stokin' your ego at 75.
Prime's lease deal. The math gets done.

No no and no ...
Prime is not one of the better lease programs out there-It's a ripoff the same way the local rent to own store is- you're paying WAAAAAY to much for the tractor .. this shows a true lack of the finances involved in owner operating.
The cost of the Tractor .. weekly payment.. at Prime is off the richter scale. Take the Prime truck payment over to the OOIDA forum and say "Im a newbie.. is
this a good truck payment for a new truck" and see what responses you get ... You'll get laughed off the board.
Operating with a lease is not as profitable as straight independent owner operating with your own authority and I guarantee you most of the guys with their own
authority have a truck payment that is under $1500/mo ... most at $1300 or under and these guys pull down alot more $$ than a lease operator. I've always kept mine
at $1100 or under ... last 2 trucks my monthly payment was under $900 ... less than 1/4 of the Prime screw job lease. -
My truck is governed at 65.

You gave us a bunch of negatives, but you failed to name a better program. Until you can point us to a better lease program and show us why it's better, then you haven't disproved my statement.

WOW wasnt it PRIME that use to run 75 mph all the time till insurance and dot got them and it was either slow them down or lose ur company but then again a lot of you havent been driving long enough to remember that......
bikertrash61 Thanks this. -
If your going to drive 65 why not drive a company truck for 40 cent a mile and let them have all the toubles
bikertrash61 Thanks this. -
I remember that. Their trucks were all 500hp Detroit's geared for 80 mph. They were like Monfort was, lol.Hittman 306 Thanks this.

Yep... Part of there advertisement used to read...
We have the fastest company trucks on the road... -
Yeah well i would bet that 900 or 1100 or even 1500 a month payment aint for a brand new truck unless u had way more than 4000 to put as down payment. If u subtract the insurance premiums and quallcomm rental from the truck rent the actual trucj lease payment on a brand new peterbilt or kw is roughly 800 a week. Which is 3200 a month. U go finance a 145000 truck with no money down and see what u pay
