My husband is looking for a good small company to work for in the oklahoma city area. He's been driving for 25 years so he's experienced but no e-logs.

Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Is he looking for OTR or local? Lot's more to pick from in ther City vs out here in Seminole. I'm sure you've seen all the ads for oilfield jobs as well. I was looking at Western Flyer until I saw their DOT basic scores and reading on the board here that drivers have to sign papers day one that they will be liable for $$ for tires and such. USX is offering .37 and home weekly if you get with the Family Dollar acct in Duncan. Avoid Ervin Findley. Very dodgy.
robert619 Thanks this. -
OTR and he worked for western flyer but they kept him out for three weeks and kept telling him he could come home but wouldn't let him he wants to be home like weekly say come in one day leave the next but do that every week because we have a five year old who misses him if she doesn't see him every once in a while the three week thing at western flyer was just too much for her to handle no oilfield prefers dry box or reefer he worked for usx years ago and also ervin. ervin was bad. He has done this so long he has worked for almost everybody. He actually loved where he was at but they let him go because he owes back child support out of california and california sucks. they suspended his license by mistake they admitted it because he pays it comes right out of his checks but california won't admit they made a mistake so his company had to let him go because they were afraid of it happening again. Thanks for the reply though. good luck to you too but skip western flyer

There is one called Vauhan Foods in Moore that is food service routes (reefer). They pay .34 and are owned by Reser's. Now that Jolene Cash is gone, it might be better.

He got a call from a company in arkansas which he is considering now. We are discussing the pros and cons of this he will be out for two weeks but then home for three days so i think that might work. our five year old daughter gets a little upset if she doesn't see him regularly.

I wish I'd been there more when my boys were younger. She is the most important consideration in his job search, in my .02 opinion. You can't replace time with kids. There are probably better options since y'all are in the city. line-haul for an LTL carrier? Hobby Lobby is advertising for teams.

What's new with this company? Almost hired on with them a few months ago but didn't like their tactics one bit. Gayle and Karen are a couple fast talkin no backin two stepper for shure lol

Try Hoffman in Chickasha! He might fit right in. Tell Kristi Blanche sent him. Lol

You probably already know this, but jobsok.com seems to be where the smaller trucking companies advertise employment oppurtunities. Then there is also craigslist which is a hit and miss. I would never send my resume to a random email without verbal or written communication with company.

Stevens Trucking in Oklahoma City. Home most weekends and once during the week. All runs are out and back.
