Congrats man. Dont let my little tyrade hold you back. Running solo in the Midwest is easy. Lots of 2 buck chuck to keep you busy. Stay out of new england, florida, laredo and texas for the most part. You live in indiana so you are in the heart of landstars business. Alot of auto parts moving around for decent rates. Write these agents down and give them a buzz when you get rolling and see whats working for ya. CAN, DUV, VAM, & CGI. CAN does a butt load of autoparts out of ohio and indiana can be alot of lightweight stuff also. VAM and CGI do alot of fedex and ups linehaul stuff but dont get suckered into going to miami for $3.50 a mile itll burn u all the way back to ga goin deadhead. If you can sorta draw a rectangle box from Wisconsin to pa down to ga across to dallas up to kc and back to Wisconsin u pretty much cant go wrong. Stay one load ahead of yourself and keep a preplan. Dont get to frustrated itll be like landing on mars for a bit trying to find loads and make it all come together. The main thing i have learned is to be consistentwith median rates and grab a good one when it comes along. I got to tangled up at first looking for high rates only going to strong places and waited too much. If the wheels aint turnin u aint earnin as it goes i think.

I had talked to a LS driver a couple weeks ago and pointed him in your Direction OZR. He had only been with LS for 3 weeks so he is learning. He kept telling me I need to just make the jump and not look back. Looking at the rates being offered for flat and steps its hard to wait and keep saving my money.

 

Well getting ready to skate across this parking lot to orientation.

 

Where you goin for orientation? Ill be in the rockford yard later today to do the CABS course tomorrow morning. Maybe Ill buy ya lunch there at the yard eh? If thats where you are at???

Hell of an offer considering LS provides lunch for free at orientation and CABS class. Thinking of stopping at GP and see what they are having today.
