Few months late but i have driven both trucks. 660 turns good is lighter by a k or two. The mpgs are good at 7.5 but wow. The 660 is a toy and feels cheap. Rough ride and wind kills it. 700 is solid but heavy and mpgs suck hard. I found the 660 way hard to back and prefer the look out the window of my 700. 700 has a desk tv mount etc. But put a few hundred k on them both a kw will setup a bed cuz you will never leave the shop. Go for the 387 or 587 petes.

    EZ Money Thanks this.

    Hey everyone,

I'm seriously thinking about getting rid of this Volvo and stepping into a T-660. Outside of what I read here, can anyone tell me about the ride? My Volvo is ok, I mean it turns on a dime and rides, well, Ok. The only reason I want to step away from it is because no one will/can work on them and of course if something goes wrong, the closest Volvo dealer will be closed and/or no one else has parts for it. I was thinking of spec'ing the truck with a 485hp Cummins with an Eaton-fuller 13 speed. In about 5-6 months I was thinking about leaving this reefer gig behind and jumping on to flatbed. Do you guys think this is a good start for spec'ing out a truck?

Thanks for any info you guys can provide.

You guys should take a hard look at the new T680. Beautiful and handles like a dream according to a friend of mine. Passenger seat rotates 180 degrees to a nice big table and flat screen tv

I wasn't sure about the different models,so I went on the KW site.I'd say go with the C500 model.Must be good for pulling 200,000 pounds:biggrin_255: I like Petes better .

after my 2013 t660 started smoking under the hood yesterday I am inclined to agree, even if they are basically the same company anymore. Turns out the EGR is done for.
