well done on passing the test. Now i would take jynxx advise and go for your hazmat. Go work for whoever you want.
-
you think getting the hazmat and being a new driver they would hire
-
I see all over the web Mainly craigslist. Im always looking at different things on there, but anyways theres alot out there looking to hire for Hazmat, dry van, reefer, and no experience needed. Just search trucking jobs no experience needed see what come up. And even if you choose to not go with a hazmat company but have it on your cdl shows other companies that you have the knowledge of hazmat which is alot on top of all other endorsments. I would say you cant go wrong with it. Get it out of the way now and drive for a company even if not hazmat. get experience under you belt and once you drive for bout 1 year choose your place of interest. thats at least how i see it and have heard a great amount that you just cant go wrong with having all your endorsments. Hope this helps even just a little.

ima go over the road with roehl for a while not cause theirs no local opportunity but cause its always good to see other places for a chance i got endorsements on my cdl and probably in sometime ill come back to something better where i don't gotta hear about having experience.

I would like to find a small trucking company that needs a 1ton for LTL truck loads, so that I may work under their authority. I am not ready to tackle all the legalities and regulations that must be met in order to do it on my own yet. If someone knows of a company that will hire o/o of medium/light duty loads, give me some pointers please. Thanks everybody!

Ltl...(live the life).))

ever thought about hauling RV's around the country? Get info on that with your one ton.

I emailed every camper/toy hauler company that I could google as well as those companies who build other types of trailers. I received only one response from every trailer manufaturer, and that was in Illionois I believe. They ONLY hire local drivers in an effort to boost the economy of their local populas. I thought of the idea, and I still think it would be wonderful to haul brand new horses trailers, campers, and toy haulers to fullfill the demand of the dealerhsip(s). If you have any information on a specific camper or trailer company, I would be glad to see it and reapply.
