Well good luck on that then, if you want it. :D

It's definitely a work out driving that. I came through Montana and got stopped by 4 of 5 scale houses...and got level 3 inspected at one of them. I passed of course, but it was time consuming and nerve wracking to keep getting pulled in, when I was trying to beat that weather front. :D

Have to do those yet, but that's for another day. Don't know when I'll be back to worry about it.....but sometime in the summer would be preferable.

Pa is getting like that with the Pike this year. They've been placing the restrictions up for what amounts to typical winter weather here. Kind of annoying when they shut down doubles for 4" of snow.

It is annoying. It's come to the point that I don't even bother if more then 3" of snow is expected and just call in for the day. I don't see the point in coming into work if the DOT is just gonna shut down the roads.

No doubt. It screws everything up for an entire week when they do that. The bigger pain is what you mentioned - drive into work and find out you're not running because DOT decided 4" of snow is crippling to an area that gets that 10 times per year.

I think all states are being extra careful with road closures right now. After Florida had that major crash after reopening I75 last year. Different but the same ? Bunch of legal hot water!

depends on the state. not everyone gets those kinds of conditions. but i ran into a couple of spots last year that the road SHOULD have been closed.

Sorry if this has been asked.. But who is responsible for purchasing the chains? the driver or the company when you have a load going out west?
