I think the layoffs will only last until the end of this month or beginning of next month. It's a numbers game. Hasn't really slowed down that much just how this company does things. Never have been able to understand it

Nobody I've talked to can explain why either. Most think it's to save $$$ over the holidays. They all say what you say, 'will probably get hired back in Feb.'. Even my union steward said this, however, he said, on a rare occasion, it wasn't til May. I'm just glad I'm able to hang. I really prepared myself. It will get easier each year too. Starting next year I will begin to get the full amount too because I will have been with the company long enough. Only getting partial this year because I was only with the company for 4 months. We had a person who got laid off 1 week after being hired. lol I think it's safe to say that person wont be back. lol I know business is business but how could you not be pissed off if you were that person? I'd want to box someone. lol

wel I messed up... My steamfitters test is friday and not tomorrow... My mistake... Although today i went to the marine recruiter and the army recruiter. Shockingly the marine recruiter was a lot more info giving than the army. He gave me practice tests, spoke, told me he hosts a free workout class once a week, says just drop 30 pounds and Im good to go. Army although the have more jobs they really didnt talk to much, they said work on the weight and call in 30 days... Then again my sgt who called me wasnt there... Still gonna try air force as well.

Well no word from YRC at all. Have to go get my check as well tomorrow. Gives me an easier time to get back on track with eating right and get myself ready to do P90X. Gonna do that a few times. Then once I burn al the weight Im gonna do the body beast( Gonna be time before boot camp anyways) I might even go in for truck driving in the military as well, got the skill already.
