Good going Doug. If you haven't yet check out Prime Springfield Edition and read Sillenteagle's post on the training cycle so you know what to expect. Good luck and keep us updated.

Is 2 weeks cloths enough to pack? I might have to get some warmer clothing up there, I am coming from FL. Any suggestions on what to pack, other than what they told me would be appreciated. I also am bringing my laptop.

2 weeks is too much. They are laundry facilities out on the road and limited space in the truck.

One week is fine, with maybe an extra few days of underwear, undershirts and socks.

Luggage needs to be soft sided and collapsible. Whatever doesn't fit in the limited space your trainer gives you will have to be stored on your bunk. Yes, even sleep with it if that's the case.

It's been 8 years since I've done flatbed bed. Last week was my first week back at it. It kicked my a#&! I was pretty sore Saturday morning but since had the weekend at the house I was able to recover. Feeling pretty good today, but I did realize that all the rules in the movie "Zombie Land" in a weird way apply to flatbedding also!

They rarely hire south of Orlando, and that's iffy.

You might have a chance with the reefer division. Absolutely no on tankers and most likely no for flatbed, i was told the flats mainly run northeast. I was told floral comes up from miami to deland, where prime has a facility. If you run teams youd probably haul a lot of flowers from Deland. Bandit you'll just have to call recruiting to find out.
So far my experience here has gone very well. There seems to be a good atmosphere and everyone is here to help. Its almost time to go over the road and see what its all about.
