My 2004 630 has been shaking for over a year. I've tried everything. Its more of a hop or wheel shake thats not felt through the steering wheel. the wheels have been checked for out of round, and have been balanced, shocks replaced, ride height checked. just put all new drive tires on and nothing has changed. the old tires were worn evenly. its worse when empty, unbearable bobtailing. the shake starts at 60mph, peaks at 65mph, and is gone at 70mph. the driveline shop that balanced the wheels and aligned it were at a loss what else to check.

is it possible you have a balance weight that was some where along the drive line that corroded and came off?

I checked for that soon at the shaking started and didnt see any signs of a lost weight. the shakw is more like a hop than a vibration.

Push your driveshaft up by the diffs and see if there is any play. if it moves at all your diff may need a little tightening up or if its real bad then replacing. check the steady bearing for play as well. i just had both my trucks have a bad wobble. heavier at low speeds. one needed new diffs and one needed a steady bearing and the spines were wore out on the inter axle driveshaft.

I had same problem w/2012 780 D-13. Went thru all the same checks as you as well as above suggestions. Turned out to be the injectors (common on this engine). They found two broken injectors and replaced all six. Problem gone!

I would check the king pin and bearings, had that similar shaking problem with our 670 and the bearings were toast
