I think I'd be more concerned about what my own conscience was saying to me vs. what a company like that was saying to me. There are too many companies out there that need drivers who give a d@@# .. who care about what they are doing ..who care about people. Honestly.. if you found you'd landed at a company that would fire you for helping an abducted child.. I think you'd also find there were 20 to 30 companies lined up who would want to hire just such a person... maybe even give that man a Highway Hero Award...Wouldn't you be better off not letting your labor line the pockets of @#$C$#$ who would fire you for helping an abducted child? I certainly think so.

I don't like they took evasive action with a toddler in the car and the law enroute. It could of went sour real quick. But it was a happy ending is all that matters.

The ####y driver said on the local news "it's not everyday you get to be a hero".

I was like why don't you leave it up to others to call you a hero? :)

I read four articles, one said the car was traveling 75-80mph, then the trucker was staying side by side with them, then another story said they were stopped on Monteagle Mtn.

That truck must of had one big motor. I believe the story was stretched a little bit.

It is great to read of someone actually finding a child like this so fast, only 2 hrs after he was reported missing. Truckers are the best. And your'e right if a company isn't pleased with the results they should just go out of business. This sounds like it has been a win for everyone involved, they can at least go to bed feeling great, the best high in the world.
