This is for all the new and experienced drivers going to Ellenwood for either being hired or Phase 1 training. You will get food vouchers for a particular restaurant. Be sure to look for Ms. Leila when you are there and sit in her section. She is great and takes care of us. I have been here for 10 days now leaving out tomorrow with my trainer and Ms. Leila was the best. So I just wanted you all to know.

Home after an 1150 mile run from ATL to NH. Got re-routed through NYC. All those years growing up in southern CT helped as I've been through the city many times. Chose to do it at night rather than shutting down in central NJ, good call because the traffic going into the city in CT the next morning was gruesome. Got about 3800 miles with trainer--great guy, great teacher; he is an O/O so we went the way he wanted to go.

Gotta say I am shocked at how some company dock workers and shipping/receiving workers treat truck drivers, like we have leprosy and they don't want to catch it. Many times they wouldn't even let us use the restrooms and we'd have to go to a portajohn. There were some good folks though, too; just hope some of those experiences were the exception and not the rule. All in all, I was nervous being by myself the first time, however I enjoyed being on the road. After almost a month, I was more than ready to get home to my sweetie.

Nottoway-- met some of your former cohorts while testing out in GA-Steve and Nicole. Good folks, new friends. Take care everyone.

How long does it take to get a load for phase 2? Hubby was picked up by his trainer Fri afternoon, and they have been sitting in Marshfield since waiting for a load. Does it take several days, or how long should we expect? If its going to be several more days would it be an absolute no-no to pick him up and bring him back home to wait around since we are just 30 miles away? Looking for advice since new to this. Thanks!

I would ask him to talk to his trainer and see what he thinks.

Trainer doesn't know either, and is talking about heading home. FM isn't providing any info either.

Dang that isn't a lot of help. Maybe you can go up there and spend time with him. They have rooms there if you want to spend the night.
