If there are any other Swift drivers stuck here in southern California...I feel your pain. I've delivered a few loads here lately, and always drove off without an empty trailer (and no preplan to keep rolling).

That sucks.Swift could start looking for a preplan while you're enroute to Calif. This is one of many reasons why there's no money in trucking for the drivers.
-
why you have to get stacked before rolling into the perverbial black hole.. i remember when texas used to be called the black hole.
when accepting loads make sure you know the areas yer delivering to, this will help in keeping them wheels rolling. then again it is the slow season and sitting around waiting for loads is common in a lot of places. heck i had to wait 24hrs for this load in msippi... -
agreed. its too bad that many of the large companies cant spell preplan, never mind get it done.
-
Sounds like many do not understand that sending a pplan requires a load first.
Bunch of cry-babies, during the slow time, expecting to be bottle fed. -
It's slow time in the LTL business also. I sit home about one night a week this time of the year. "When I grow up I wanna be a truck driver"

Right on that Moosetek....I called today and they have -41 loads to run in Fontana (yes, negative - how many drivers are sitting and waiting). It's a sign of the times...haha!

If it makes you feel any better, I'm sitting in the black hole of Florida...
-
wow that makes me cringe. -
I was lucky enough to get out of Fontana today and am heading to GA. I hope I can get back home next week.
